Diversity and Expertise
Our consultant based team at NatureWorkshop is a diverse group of professionals who bring expertise from the allied fields of architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, urban and regional planning, public health, education, medicine, and media. Our business operations are overseen by a dedicated Board of Directors who guide the success of our work and vision.
Our Founder and Executive Director, Susan Cathleen Gunn, Ph.D., researches the connections between culture, health, and sustainability. She founded NatureWorkshop after over 20 years of observing how engagement with nature and nature-inspired practices has the potential to profoundly change how we live, work, and play while providing solutions to some of the most vexing challenges of our times. Dr. Gunn has comprehensive experience in the design, construction, planning, development, financing, and history of the natural, designed, and built environment, always with a focus on sustainability. She has also developed and taught courses in environmental design at the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Colorado Denver on ethics, culture, history, and representation. She has been traveling in Latin America arranging partnerships for collaboration, retreats, and conferences. She holds a B.ENVD in Architecture from the University of Colorado Boulder, a M.S. in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver Daniels School of Business, and a Ph.D. in Design and Planning from the University of Colorado Denver.
